But we won't stop at finding your season. I'll show you how to take your palette into real life: from the neutrals you build your wardrobe around to denim, makeup, jewellery and the colours worth looking for when you shop.
The goal isn't more rules. It's making your wardrobe - and getting dressed - easier.
during your colour analysis, we'll discover:
1. your undertone
We’ll start by discovering whether warm or cool tones work most harmoniously with your natural colouring - one of the foundations of understanding why some colours make you glow while others can leave you looking washed out.
2. depth + clarity
Next, we’ll explore the intensity of colour that suits you best. Do you come alive in lighter or deeper shades? Clear, vibrant colour or something softer and more muted? This helps us narrow down exactly where your colouring sits.
3. your season
Bringing everything we’ve discovered together, we’ll find your hero palette using the 4 season method and identify the colours that make you shine - plus how to recognise them when you’re shopping, rather than relying on a label alone.
4. metallics + more
We’ll look at whether gold or silver works best for you, alongside your most flattering neutrals, makeup shades and hair colours - so you can use what you've learnt well beyond the clothes in your wardrobe.
what happens during a colour analysis?
We'll start by chatting through your wardrobe, how you currently use colour and anything you'd particularly like help with.
Then comes the fun bit.
Using professional drapes, we'll compare colours against your natural colouring to see how differences in undertone, depth and clarity affect your complexion. You'll see first-hand why certain shades make you look brighter and more defined while others can overpower or wash you out.
We'll use everything we discover to determine your seasonal palette - Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter - before looking at your best neutrals, metallics, makeup and hair colours.
Finally, we'll bring it back to your real wardrobe, so you leave understanding not just which colours suit you, but what to actually do with that information.

I'm a trained Colour Analyst, Wardrobe Stylist and mum of two, helping women take the guesswork out of getting dressed.
After 15 years working in marketing and brand strategy, I retrained as a Colour Analyst and turned my obsession with colour into Charlotte Elizabeth Colour. Since then, I've worked with hundreds of women to understand the colours that make them look and feel their best - and, importantly, how to actually use them in real life.
After several years analysing clients from my London studio, I'm bringing Charlotte Elizabeth Colour to Gloucester, with my new home studio opening in November 2026.

Do I need to remove my makeup for Colour Analysis?
Yes. Colour Analysis is all about seeing how different colours interact with your natural colouring, so we'll need to see your skin without makeup. If you arrive wearing makeup, don't worry - you can remove it when you get here. Once we've completed your analysis, we'll also look at the makeup shades that work beautifully with your palette.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! If you have a white t-shirt, wear this but otherwise, we'll cover your clothing with a neutral drape during the analysis, so the colour of your outfit won't affect the results. I'd also recommend coming with your hair as you normally wear it. If your hair is coloured, we can cover it during parts of the analysis where needed so we can focus on your natural colouring.
What actually happens during a Colour Analysis?
We'll use a series of professional coloured drapes to compare how different undertones, depths and levels of clarity interact with your complexion. We'll work through these differences together before identifying your seasonal palette - Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter - and exploring your best colours, neutrals, metallics, makeup and more. I'll explain what I'm seeing as we go, so you leave understanding not just what your colours are, but why they work for you and how to use them in real life.
What if I don't see the differences straight away?
That's completely normal. Some colour comparisons are much more obvious than others, and you don't need to be able to spot every difference I can see. I'll talk you through what I'm looking for throughout your appointment, and for many people their palette starts to make even more sense once they begin wearing, photographing and shopping for their colours afterwards. Colour Analysis isn't a test - there's no pressure to "get it right" during your session.
I've had my colours analysed before. Can I book a second opinion?
Absolutely. I regularly work with women who have previously had their colours analysed but aren't completely sure about the result, have found their palette difficult to use, or simply want a fresh pair of eyes. We'll approach your appointment from scratch rather than working backwards from your previous result, so I can give you my independent assessment.
Can two people book a Colour Analysis together?
Yes. My Gloucester home studio can accommodate individual appointments and Colour Analysis for two, making it perfect to book with a friend, sister, mum or partner. If you'd like Colour Analysis for a group of three or more, I can travel to your home or chosen venue instead.
Where are Colour Analysis appointments held?
From November 2026, individual and paired Colour Analysis appointments take place at my home studio in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. I'm ideally located for clients travelling from Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Full address and arrival information will be provided when you book. For larger groups and Wardrobe Edit appointments, I can travel up to two hours from Gloucester, with a travel fee depending on location.
Do you offer Colour Analysis for groups or events?
Yes! For groups of three or more, I can bring the Colour Analysis experience to your home or chosen venue.
